Professor Faulkner was keynote speaker and honoured guest at the Concern 2013 Conference in Delhi, India from 5-7 April. He spoke of the opportunities for cooperation between universities in the increasingly ‘flat’ (Friedman 2008) world. He apologised on behalf of the UK people for the current blind and negative attitude adopted by the current UK government to these challenges and opportunities. At the end of the Conference he presented the Awards on behalf of the organisers.
On the 8th April he gave a speech at a school in Meerut in concert with the Indian Bollywood film star Poonam Dhillon. On the 9th he attended an award ceremony run by Assocham and accepted an Award for best up and coming B school with Tarun Anand for Universal Business School, of which he is Honorary Dean, Corporate Governance. On the 10th he attended a meeting with Babul al Jain the Co-founder of the World BPO/ITO Forum and Senior Advisor to the United Nations Office for Partnerships. On the 11th he gave a speech to the Faculty and students of Manav Rachna University in Delhi.
